MS, PCLC
NOT CURRENTLY ACCEPTING NEW CLIENTS- WAITLIST ONLY
Being a mental health counselor means that I get the honor to walk alongside individuals on their journey towards a more fulfilled, purposeful and holistically healthy life. I believe in the healing power of a collaborative therapeutic relationship and work to provide a warm, supportive and empowering environment where lasting growth and change can take place.
My belief is that everyone is capable of achieving a full life with deeper, more authentic relationships with the self and others. Therapy offers a unique opportunity to explore the aspects of life that can be difficult to hike through alone. I use a combination of trauma informed and evidence based modalities including cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), humanistic psychology, Dialectic Behavioral Therapy (DBT), mindfulness, and existential psychology. My approach is empowering, nurturing, and compassionate as well as humorous at times.
I have formal training in individual (adult and children), couples and group counseling and most often treat symptoms related to anxiety, depression, prenatal/postpartum issues, premarital and couples, and trauma. I graduated with my M.S. in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Wright State University in Dayton Ohio in 2021 with an additional trauma counseling certification for working with crisis, PTSD, and mental health trauma care. My undergraduate degree, and previous career, was in performing arts which brings well rounded experience to my counseling practice.
I met my husband working on a guest ranch in Augusta, Montana in 2016 and fell in love with the people and the mountains. After traveling and living all over the country, we decided that Montana was where we wanted to plant our roots and base our family. When I am not at work, you can find me playing music, cooking, traveling, gardening (for the short window of time Montana will let me), and starting to try all the winter sports that this area has to offer!
Rebekah sees clients in Helena and via telehealth appointment.
