Peg Mangan
MS, PCLC
I believe that all people desire to have a purposeful life and want to feel as though what they do, either by vocation or hobby, makes a difference. I am most experienced with Solution Focused Brief Therapy, an evidence-based practice that focuses on the "here and now" and real-time problem solving. I have also studied Dialectical Behavior Therapy and am interested in learning more about therapies and treatments for PSTD and Trauma. I am also certified for groups in Cognitive Behavioral Interventions for Substance Abuse and have extensive experience working with addictions, substance use disorders, and vocational rehabilitation.
My formal education consists of a MS in Rehabilitation Counseling and a BA in Psychology, both from Western Oregon University. I have also earned several certifications along the way, including a certificate in DBT, as well as Certified Rehabilitation Counselor (CRC), and Cognitive Behavioral Interventions for Substance Abuse (CBISA) certifications.
I was raised primarily in Oregon but have deep rooted ties to Montana as my grandmother was born and raised on a homestead near Plentywood in the early 1900s, and my father grew up in Opheim. I have raised four children of my own, who constantly surprise and amaze me with their talents and activities. When I am not working I enjoy gardening (a huge challenge with MT short growing season) playing with my black lab Lucy, taking her for walks in all of the splendor of our lovely state, and cooking.
PROFESSIONAL DISCLOSURE STATEMENT
Peg sees clients in Ennis, Anaconda, and via telehealth appointment.
